Message limits:
Length of one message: up to 4096 characters.
Size of files to be sent: up to 128 MB.

Mailing limits are not officially specified, they are regulated by the Telegram system based on neural networks and various algorithms, and may vary depending on many factors:

• How long the number has been used in the Telegram system;
• Whether the number has been blocked in the past;
• The way messages are sent - if username is used, the number of messages to limit will be higher than when initiated by phone number;
• Recipients' reactions to incoming messages - complaints and blocking can lead to rapid number restriction.

For the initiation of dialog with contacts with whom there has been no previous correspondence, we recommend not to exceed 20 contacts per day, for numbers that are used for a long time and have a stable large number of dialogs - up to 40 contacts per day.

Telegram does not block the number at once, it only imposes restrictions on the time when you can write the next message. At first it can be a few minutes, but with regular violations the number can be blocked permanently.

When initiating messages by phone number, there may be an additional restriction on sending through the API that our service uses. This means that it will be possible to write from the mobile app to a contact, but through our service the initiation of a dialog with a new contact will be limited for some time, the optimal break based on our observations may be from 4 to 24 hours.

If your Telegram account has been blocked, the smartest move is to wait until the blocking is over. If you are sure that the blocking was imposed by mistake, you can apply for unblocking. To do so, write to support via the official bot @spambot, or send a request to [email protected]. In cases where the charges are serious, it may not be possible to appeal the blocking.
