Check the status of the number:

Check if the number is blocked. Blocked numbers usually cannot activate new devices. You can find out information about blocking your account by writing to the following bot, in the Viber mobile app: @viberspamchatbot.

In our experience, the bot may give incorrect information about the blocked number status. To make sure that the number is not blocked, try to search in your Viber app for a number that definitely exists in Viber and that is not in your contacts list. If the number is not found - then the number is blocked.

If the number is unrestricted, try activating the number via the link. To do this, under the generated QR code, click the “camera not working?” button, copy the link, and try to follow the link by pasting it in the browser on your mobile device with Viber.
